77. Tools for Hobby Gardeners
What kind of tools will you be using in your greenhouse? Do you think you may need the same tools for your outside garden? Daily and weekly chores in the greenhouse are so much easier when you have the right tools to use. Some of the new tools and items that you may want to consider getting for your new greenhouse are:
If you are using hanging baskets you will want an easy way to water, a hose or a watering wand is best when using water up high.
Moisture meter, if you are growing plants that require a dry condition you will be able to lower the humidity in the greenhouse before it effects your plants.
Paper pot maker, using your old newspapers you can make your own pots for growing plants from seeds. Paper pots allow you to put the entire pot, plant, and dirt in to the ground outside of the greenhouse after you have started the plants in the greenhouse. The paper will designate in to the dirt and add nutrients to the soil.
In your greenhouse you will want a magnifying glass so that you can determine if your plants have a bug infestation and what kind they might be.
You will want a permanent market and labels or tags for your new starter plants, so you donít forget what you planted in what container.
You most likely will want hanging hooks for the top of your greenhouse so you can hang beautiful long growing plants and flowers from the top rails of your greenhouse.
Many greenhouses have a garden hose of some type, whether it is the short compact type or a longer able to reach through out the greenhouse hose.
A container to store your opened fertilizer will be needed to keep your fertilizer products dry and readily available.
There are so many more things that you may want in your greenhouse depending on your specialty and how neat you are in keeping order of your goodies. You can find a wide range of plastic containers, small and large at yard sales, garage sales and at local discount stores that work great for storage in the greenhouse.
