81. Veggies Grown in the Greenhouse
Do you like fresh vegetables? If you are like me you canít get enough fresh goodies just about everyday! Did you know that, yes you can grow vegetables in a greenhouse. I wanted to tell you more about the harvest that you can expect when you raise vegetables in a greenhouse. What can you expect from your garden when raising vegetables in a greenhouse? You can expect the actual planting of the vegetable seeds to be time consuming. You will need to have your dirt and pots ready when you are starting your greenhouse garden. You also need to decide which plants as they get larger, may need the larger pots to start with so that you donít have to transfer your plants when they out grow their pots.
When you control the climate in the greenhouse, and you keep your climate about fifty degrees, your plants will flourish. You can use electric or gas heat in the greenhouse, but if you use gas you need to leave some ventilation for the gases that the gas gives off. For your plants to flourish best, your greenhouse will need to be placed where they can get at least six hours sunlight in the winter months.
If you have started your vegetables in the early February and March months, you may need to use a shade cloth towards June or July when the sun is highest and hottest when you donít move your plants outdoors to your garden.
Did you realize that when you are using your greenhouse to grow vegetables, you can have a wide range from fresh tomatoes to cucumbers in the middle of winter if you are diligent in your planting, watering and in controlling the heat? You can save so much money with fresh vegetables when you grow your own.
You can use a water timer if you are a busy on the run person, so that your plants can be watered two or more times a week when you want them to be watered with your having to be there! You donít have to worry about working later three days in a row and not being able to get to the greenhouse when you automate the processes within your walls.
Vegetables will continue to grow, with use of solar heat in your greenhouse. The polycarbonate panels, combine with your heat source to created the perfect growing atmosphere. Good luck in choosing what types of vegetables are your favorites from the greenhouse, there are just so many!
